The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) serves the armed forces and the Nation by providing vital engineering and scientific services across all scientific disciplines during times of peace and war.
Access to authoritative, relevant, and accurate information for USACE to use with confidence, efficiently, and rapidly with its business lines, stakeholders, and Federal agencies is paramount in successfully meeting the objectives for day to day operations, and to support emergency mitigation and response operations.
The objective of the presentation is to share challenges, success stories, tangible/intangible costs, and future strategy to integrate open source geospatial products to transform the business process at the USACE.
Learn how the USACE is implementing open source geospatial to capture and display geospatial information through a web-browser and serve out OGC compliant WMS and WFS, and transforming the business process.
